I recently got back from the United Astrology Conference (UAC) in Chicago, which was designed on the concept ‘Daring to Dream’. This event can be thought of as a kind of astrological Olympics (so to speak) as it only happens once every four years and gathers dozens of international astrologers across various schools of thought and modalities to teach anything from technical tips, to where we are in the stars now and what may be in store before we meet again.

It was a wonderful but aslo a bit overwhelming. Although UAC left me with enough notes and ideas to fill a small library, I will share a few nuggets here.

Whether you’re into traditional or modern, Vedic or Midieval, the recent energetic shifts in the outer planets was a main theme underlying much of what we saw during the six-day event. With Pluto now firmly in Aquarius, Uranus in Gemnini, Neptune and Saturn in Aries (albeit all currently retrograde) collectively we seem to be anxiously waiting to see what these transits mean. One thing most could agree on was that the times of things moving slowly (water and earth dominance) have now picked up the pace (fire and air dominant) and every astrologer has a unique lens for seeing what the future has in store for humanity in the face of artificial intelligence and current global power struggles.

And though it was lovely to spend time with cross-generational friends and teachers, it is clear there is still work to be done if we are truly ‘daring to dream’ of a community that promotes unity in a loving and compassionate way, free of harm or exclusivity.

Something I’ve heard about but never really delved into was the predictive astrology around business and financial markets. If you’re an MBA like me or just find the intersection of money and the stars to be questionable, I implore you to look into the astrologers that have made a great living providing this kind of guidance to business owenrs and managers the world over.

I was lucky enough to be able to attend in-person chats with both Christeen Skinner and Grace K. Morris, founder of Astro Economics. I also was surprised by what I learned in the nuances of timing for real estate transactions with Kathryn Silverton. These women truly inspired me, and I indend to deepen my studies so that I too can one day help others with depth of wisdom they share.

As the universe would have it, the same people and circumstances kept popping up where I least expected. Finding myself navigating a through line has opened my mind further towards the notion of fate and the grander scheme of what the planets have in store.

There were really just too many topics and speakers, events and after-hours shenanigans I just don’t have time to delve into the details. I will say that I now have a plethora of areas to dive deeper into. From black holes and solar flares effects on us humans to past lives and zodiacal releasing techniques, I can’t wait to share and grow with you in this journey!
